Meyers Landing, Louisiana

Good morning! Last night I emptied both the used water tanks, filled the fresh, and took a really nice long, hot shower.

This is how the pooper gets emptied. Note the disposable rubber gloves.

I was a little worried at how wet the shower curtain got, but it was perfectly dry this morning!

A pretty good shower.

See that toothbrush on the edge of the counter? It ended up here last night:

Note to self: this is why there’s a lid on the potty seat. Noted.

I got a nice phone call from Jon last night. I’ve started to teach Allie to sew, and Jon likes to learn too! He wanted to know how to turn a corner because they were making tiny pillows for Allie’s school Diorama project:

I love this little bird.

It was a sweet phone call, I taught him how to turn a corner, and I mentioned that the reverse control on their machine was broken. Next time we spoke, he had fixed it! Jon really is quite bright for a wizard of his age.

That’s Jon.

On now to some really complicated and overdue tasks:

Tidying up a ball of string
Installing a small shelf at foot of bed
Putting my eclipse sticker onto my computer.

The NY State Parks chipmunk is from last years trip to Niagara Falls. As I do little things I am listening to Cajun Zydeco. I love to hear the music of a region when I am visiting. Charlie Musselwhite is a new old favorite!

Each loop of rope is a spectrometer up your boat.
A permanent family reunion spot. NICE!
I wonder who lives in there!
My new Kamping with Kitty selfie.
A gigantic ship rope repurposed as a speed bump.
We are starting to look forward to early bedtimes!
Dishes are done. I confess I like a neat place.
